Nasce in Italia IntelliHearts, il progetto che aiuterà milioni di persone a prevenire e monitorare i problemi cardiaci semplicemente indossando un orologio che, connesso allo smartphone, sarà in grado di misurare elettrocardiogramma (ECG), frequenza cardiaca, pressione sanguigna, ossigenazione e tenere traccia dello storico del paziente/utente in modo tale da prevenire un eventuale scompenso cardiaco.
Il software IntelliHearts è composto da una piattaforma cloud per la classificazione in tempo reale delle aritmie e altri tipi di problemi cardiovascolari basata su algoritmi di deep learning per la corretta classificazione di ogni singolo battito.
“IntelliHearts è stato pensato e sviluppato all’interno del Politecnico di Bari – racconta Vincenzo Dentamaro (Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta USA; CEO Nextome) ideatore del software – con la volontà di attenuare il tasso di mortalità legato alle problematiche cardiache. I dati statistici ci dicono che solo nel 2008 il 30% delle morti in tutto il mondo è stato causato da questo tipo di problemi e la scienza non può e non deve restare a guardare.”
Monitoraggio costante (senza la necessità di una connessione internet) ed un ridottissimo margine di errore fanno di IntelliHearts un partner affidabile che ti avvisa in tempo reale in caso di anomalie del ritmo cardiaco e che, in questo modo, punta a dare un necessario sostegno all’importante pratica di riconoscimento dei sintomi di un eventuale infarto.
“Siamo stati selezionati dal Maker Faire di Roma ed abbiamo deciso di andarci dando totale importanza al software, che verrà utilizzato su di un normalissimo braccialetto digitale; – spiega Umberto Cataldo De Pace (Editor & Founder Eleganza del Gusto), che per questo progetto cura il design e la comunicazione – mentre nel 2018 lanceremo una campagna di crowdfunding sulla piattaforma Kickstarter, che andrà a presentare il software di fianco ad orologi lavorati in Italia e dal design unico. Ce ne sarà uno per ogni occasione: dal modello sportivo a quello da utilizzare durante una cena di gala, perché se è vero che bisogna prendersi cura di sé, è anche vero che bisogna farlo nel miglior modo possibile.”

IntelliHearts is born as an Italian project that will help millions of people to prevent and monitor cardiovascular problems simply by wearing a watch that, connected to the smartphone, will be able to record electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate, blood pressure, oxygenation and track the user’s old medical data in order to prevent any heart disease.
IntelliHearts software consists of a cloud platform for the real-time classification of arrhythmias and other types of cardiovascular problems. The platform is based on deep learning algorithms for the correct classification of each beat.

Constant monitoring (without the need for an internet connection) and a small margin of error make IntelliHearts a reliable partner that warns you in real time in case of anomalies of the heart rhythm and which in this way aims to provide the necessary support the important practical recognition of a possible heart attack.
“We were selected by the European edition of Maker Faire in Rome and we decided to go there giving full importance to the software, which for the occasion will be used on a normal digital bracelet; says Umberto Cataldo De Pace (Editor & Founder Eleganza del Gusto), which for this project cares about design and communication – while in 2018 we’ll launch a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform, which will present the software alongside a collection of watches handcrafted in Italy with a unique design. There will be one for every occasion: from the sport model to the one that could be used during a gala dinner, because if it is true that we have to take care of ourselfes, it’s also true that we must do it in style.”
