For the occasion of the sixty years, the G. Inglese sartoria offers a collection of high masculine tailoring, the craftsmanship in the world, called Archivio 1955 shirts made up to 25 steps by hand, ties to ten folds, twins in majolica of Laterza, handmade hanky, bracelets and lapel flowers pin. Angelo_Inglese

Following the words of Angelo Inglese that presents the new collection and tells of the achievements in 2015 and future plans, through which, there is a will to revive the beauty, all Italian, of the territory and know-how:

The flower pin of jacket was made to crochet from my grandmother, during the winter, when there was possible to find a fresh flower.

Even Checco Zalone during the filming of his latest film “Quo Vado?” And the art critic Vittorio Sgarbi, during various television programs, have wanted to wear this ornament as much attention to the issue of the recovery of our traditions and typical of Puglia, appreciating the symbolic and representative.

The flower is now a symbol of recognition of our tailoring, detail of fashion; artifact from the details of which can be seen the art and craftsmanship of embroidery.

For our shirts the choice falls on fabrics like poplin 300/2, hemp, nettle, denim crafts, silk and natural cottons with the aim to propose a refined style and good taste always careful and aware.

The dresses, jackets and coats are revisited in a contemporary way with the use of the best fabrics for drapery, all made of fine quality, especially those made through our recovery and reuse of sheep wool Puglia, through a chain ethics, which boosted our determination to revive this ancient art, which has paid off by the blue shades of color obtained. Natural tones that evoke the Apulia region as a whole: the white of the tufa, the blue sea, the green olive, yellow wheat and sun.

We dusted off our Archivio 1955 going to fish out patch pockets to “piñata”, boat pocket, fixed strictly with runners hand, wide lapels and shawl also redesigned their roundness for a touch retro, for a strong reference to the past.
A proposal already made for a great teacher preview of Hollywood cinema.

Our attention is also given to the issue of Xylella which affected our area and we want to tell through the creation Hand of buttons in olive wood applied on our jackets mappina.
Rich in history and very charming inherent in his plots, the jacket “mappina” (in its meaning “cloth”) was the farmer’s jacket made of fabric redundancy.G_Inglese_flower_pin

We then recovered the garment most common and widespread of the past, to make icon of our traditions, able to put together all the features of the masterful job tailoring.
And our commitment continues even in the beautiful City of Rocks, including: the event organized by the renowned Milan Barbieria Colla or tie in special edition with which we honored the mayor embroidering the symbol of Matera European Capital of Culture 2019. We have consolidated so our relationship to the city, whose collaborations are the emblem of a common fact of culture, craftsmanship and traditions.
It’s a substantial contribution that will continue to give our territory as a whole, promoting the craftsmanship and the rediscovery of ancient crafts, made with love and passion.

Our bet is always the same relaunched for years: the return to our traditions typical, the value and the dignity of those who were once poor work. A concept that we have coined the term of Tourism Sartorial. And today we are here to live, fortunately, the beauty of these fascinating places, for centuries the land desolate and vilified as a curse, as proof of what the territory has redeemed himself by betting on precisely those elements, I Sassi and ravines Puglia and Basilicata, today deservedly become strengths to show the world.
