Se state cercando una meta fuori dal turismo di massa, l’isola di Martha’s Vineyard è quello che fa per voi.
Chiamata anche l’isola dei democratici, è stata considerata, assieme alla vicina isola di Nantucked (dove si può acquistare l’originale Nantucket Red, vedi qui) l’isola dei vip, data la notevole affluenza dell’upper-class di Boston e New York, formata da figure del mondo politico e finanziario.
Meta preferita dei Kennedy, racchiude nel suo nome tutta la sua essenza: Il vigneto di Martha.
Lontana dalla mondanità (anche se vanta presenze di party super esclusivi e quasi inaccessibili), Martha’s Vineyard è, piuttosto, un luogo dove godersi la tranquillità e la natura. Ci si alza tardi e poi si gira in bicicletta o magari in bus, che qui si tingono di bianco, acquamarina o rosa; sull’isola l’auto va dimenticata.
Gli itinerari si fanno quasi da sé, lasciandosi guidare dall’istinto lungo le coste o per i sentieri che attraversano la campagna.
Con i suoi 160 chilometri quadrati, sorge non lontano dall’incantevole Cape Cod, a sud di Boston ed è raggiungibile in aereo o per mare da Hyannis.
I panorami sono spettacolari e il paesaggio genuino ed elegante con le sue case in stile vittoriano, l’atmosfera dei locali accogliente e le spiagge silenziose.
Da non dimenticare, infine, i gustosi pranzi a base di frutti di mare, astici, zuppe di vongole e molluschi a prezzi decisamente accessibili.
Insomma, una vera oasi di pace.

Far from worldliness (although offers unique and almost inaccessible party attendance super), Martha’s Vineyard is, rather, a place to enjoy the tranquility and nature. You get up late and then turns around by bicycle or even by bus, here it is colored in white, aquamarine or pink; the car on the island to be forgotten.
The routes are almost made by themselves, guided by instinct along the coasts or on the paths through the countryside.
With its 160 square kilometers, it is located not far from Cape Cod, south of Boston, and is accessible by air or by sea from Hyannis.
The views are spectacular and the genuine landscape and elegant with its Victorian-style houses, the atmosphere of the local cozy and quiet beaches.
Do not forget, finally, the tasty meals based on seafood, lobster, soup of clams and shellfish at a very affordable.
In short, a true oasis of peace.
