Ora è il momento. Ora tutto prende forma.
Quando ho fondato l’Eleganza del Gusto, mi sono ispirato ad uno di quei Club londinesi dove i gentiluomini possono usufruire di servizi esclusivi, rilassarsi da soli o in compagnia e fare nuove amicizie, ma nella forma virtuale il tutto era limitato ad uno scambio di opinioni distaccato, tipico del mondo della rete. Con l’apertura de L’eleganza del gusto – The Club, invece, i membri potranno incontrare di persona vecchi e nuovi amici provenienti da ogni parte del mondo, ascoltare la voce delle eccellenze del lusso, partecipare ad eventi esclusivi, ma soprattutto avere la certezza di un salotto, situato nel cuore della Città Eterna, pronto ad accoglierli ogni volta che lo desiderano.

Dalla sartoria alla mixology, dal fumo lento all’arte passando attraverso opere di design e vini pregiati; con un’attenzione particolare alla realizzazione di scarpe fatte a mano su misura. Ed è proprio grazie alla partnership tra l’Eleganza del Gusto e Bocache & Salvucci calzolai che è nato L’eleganza del gusto – The Club. Sarà proprio nello showroom di Bocache & Salvucci, a due passi da Trinità dei Monti e dalla scalinata di Piazza di Spagna, che sorgerà il Club: “Erano anni che sognavo di mettere a disposizione un mio spazio dove realizzare un punto d’incontro per gentiluomini e il blog l’Eleganza del Gusto rappresenta perfettamente la mia idea di Club. Dopo l’incontro con Umberto Cataldo, questo progetto è nato spontaneamente.” Racconta Gian Luca Bocache.
Il fitto calendario di eventi (quasi tutti di sabato, all’ora dell’aperitivo serale) prevede anche una serie di appuntamenti dimostrativi sui vari passaggi necessari per realizzare una scarpa su misura e saranno tenuti dai maestri calzolai Gian Luca Bocache e Roberto Salvucci in persona. E poi: incontri con le sartorie più importanti d’Italia, barber show, degustazioni, presentazioni di libri e di nuove idee imprenditoriali, incontri con personaggi di spicco e tutto il bien vivre su misura del Gentleman.

“Il gentil sesso è il benvenuto all’interno de L’eleganza del gusto – The Club! – chiarisce con fermezza il fondatore Umberto Cataldo – La storia ci insegna che questi luoghi erano creati ad uso e consumo dell’uomo ma sempre di più, oggi, la donna è cultrice, tra le altre cose, del buon bere, del su misura e del fumo lento, quindi perché tagliarla fuori? Ad ogni modo non mancheranno gli eventi destinati esclusivamente ad un pubblico maschile, in modo tale da generare quella spensieratezza di una tranquilla serata tra amici.”
Eventi liberi, dunque, ma anche riservati ed a numero chiuso. L’eleganza del gusto – The Club è destinato a diventare un punto di riferimento per l’alta società nazionale ed internazionale, un luogo di aggregazione dove condividere passioni e ritornare ad assaporare il buono della vita.

When I founded l’Eleganza del Gusto, I was inspired by one of those London clubs where gentlemen can enjoy exclusive services, relax alone or with friends and making new friendships, but in virtual form all was limited to a detached exchange of opinions, typical of the net world. With the opening of L’eleganza del gusto – The Club, however, members will be able to personally meet old and new friends from all over the world, listen to the voice of the luxury excellences, attend exclusive events, but above all, have the certainty of a lounge, located in the heart of the Eternal City, ready to welcome them whenever they wish.

Rome. An exclusive lounge in the heart of The Great Beauty, where you can enjoy fine spirits, listen to good music on vinyl, read the most renowned magazines and meet new people from the upper international class. This is L’eleganza del gusto – The Club.
From tailoring to mixology, from the slow smoking passing through art and design and fine wines; with 
special attention to the realization of handmade bespoke shoes. And it’s thanks to the partnership between l’Eleganza del Gusto and Bocache & Salvucci shoemakers who was born L’eleganza del gusto – The Club: A concept showroom near Trinità dei Monti and Piazza di Spagna, where you can buy bespoke products, belonging to the excellence of the high Italian craftsmanship, or just a parlor where relax in your free time with the company of old and new friends.
The full calendar of events (almost all will be on Saturday, during the happy hour) also provides for a series of demonstration events on the various steps required to create bespoke shoes and will be taught by master shoemakers Gian Luca Bocache and Roberto Salvucci in person. And then: meetings with the most important Italian tailors, barber shows, tastings, presentations of books and new business ideas, meetings with prominent personalities and all the bien vivre customized for the Gentleman.
“The fairer sex is welcome inside L’eleganza del gusto – The Club! – Clarifies firmly the founder Umberto Cataldo – History teaches us that these places were created to use and consumption of men but more and more, today, women are cultrices, among other things, of the mixology, bespoke things and slow smoking, so why cut them out? However there will be events intended exclusively for a male audience, so as to generate the light-heartedness of a quiet evening with friends.”
